Medford Canoe Trail Launched at Grand Opening
Members of the Medford Canoe Trail committee and Medford Township launched the canoe trail during an official opening on July 28. More than 200 area residents and volunteers made the day a great success. With canoes provided by Adams Canoe rentals based at Atsion Lake, kids, parents and seniors all made there way downstream to the exit point at Kirby’s Mill. DIRECTIONS TO THE CANOE TRAIL
Gill Road Launch Site
From Intersection of Route 70 and Main Street (Route 541): Head South on Main Street. Turn right at Library onto Allen Avenue. Turn left at Gill Road. Park in designated parking area.
Alternative Parking: Continue on Main Street past Library. Cross Bridge. Immediately bear right at Mill Street intersection. Turn right at Bunning Field. Park in designated parking areas.
Coates Street Launch Site
From Intersection of Route 70 and Main Street (Route 541): Head South on Main Street. Turn left at first traffic light onto Bank Street. Turn right at McClain Avenue. Turn left at Coates Street and continue into Medford Park. Park on grass on both sides of dirt road leading to launch site.

Medford Canoe Trail Clean-Up Paves the Way for Visitors
On June 9, several intrepid volunteers helped remove trash and several major blockages on the creek leftover from recent storms. A number of very large trees had fallen over the creek making passage challenging and portages necessary in some cases. See the Canoe Trail Clean-Up Photo Gallery >
